The Lodge

When you book with Voyage Active Ltd, your holiday will be conducted by Lapland Sleddog Adventures.

You will stay in their gorgeous Swedish lodge. Lapland Sleddog Adventures owner, Gaynor says “we feel privileged to be surrounded by the most beautiful and wild forest landscape that Northern Sweden has to offer. Our haven in the Arctic is secluded, cosy and peaceful and we’re confident that you will love it here as much as we do.”

“We bought the property in 2013 and since then we have built a luxury cabin-style hideaway for our guests. Built with the environment in mind, all the building materials used in the wood structure were sourced in Sweden and we have our own pure water source, as well as geo thermal heating.”

The lodge is built to a high standard with many of the luxuries you would expect from a hotel and yet it oozes a cosy, warm feeling you only get from traditional forest cabins. The property is hidden away in a small clearing amongst the trees and offers two double or twin bedrooms, one double/family room for up to four people, two bathrooms with showers (no bath tub), a built-in kitchen in the open lounge/dining area. The maximum capacity is 8-10 guests as part of the same group or no more than six individual guests staying at any one time. If you have a group larger than eight please talk to us about the options. LSA also offer private bookings of the lodge.

There is also a separate sauna cabin built next to a creek that runs through the property. In the summer time, you can freshen up from the hot sauna by jumping in a natural pool of water but in winter only the brave would break through the ice and dip a toe in! Instead, in the winter you can relax in a warm room adjacent to the sauna itself (also used for changing) or roll around in the fluffy snow outside.
